Nadir Zarour: New Paintings is a debut solo exhibition of the Algerian-born, UK-based artist Nadir Zarour. As a self-taught painter, Zarour brings a raw and unfiltered perspective to the contemporary art scene, exploring profound themes of movement, migration, and the complexities of human connection.
In this poignant body of work, Zarour reflects on the experiences of migration and dispersion, drawing inspiration from the journeys of diverse peoples, whether within urban landscapes or across continents. His paintings are deeply informed by the realities of overpopulation, the frenetic pace of modern urban life, and the resulting sense of isolation that can accompany such environments.
