The investigation on the state of Italian contemporary art is still ongoing in Cortina d’Ampezzo. In fact, following the “I Mille di Sgarbi” exhibition, the Mario Rimoldi Modern Art Museum of the Regole d’Ampezzo focuses primarily on landscapes. The theme develops through the works of the best known artists of 20th century Italian art portraying the landscape in its fascination and charm as well as in its scars and gashes. And also interior landscapes, as places of the mind that move the artists’ sensitivity and delicacy. Therefore, landscapes evoke love stories, scents and nuances, memories, peoples and places in works of art that perfectly interact with the masterpieces of the Rimoldi collection.
Undoubtedly, Italy is the most beautiful country in the world and this is not just a cliché, it is an objective, quantitative, and qualitative matter of fact.
Italy has an intrinsic beauty that makes its amazing nature stand out among all the other countries. Italy is a geographical, historical, and spiritual expression and Italy is the name of beauty in itself. Therefore, Italy cannot but have beauty as one of its constituents and
Italy would not be the same without literature, music, art, nature, and landscape which all contribute to its beauty.
