The traditional costume of Ampezzo is still worn today on festivities. Its style reveals an Alpine community that is both linked to traditions and open to city fashionable trends.
The several interpretations of the women's costumes have some elements in common: él ciameşòto, a crown skirt made of heavy black fabric sewn to a sleeveless bodice, and the palegrèn, a colored silk apron.

Ra magnes
The costume for religious or civil ceremonies. It consists of a black jacket with puff sleeves bordered with satin, on the décolleté a hand embroidered lace, symbol of the woman's skill. Hat decorations, long ribbons draped down the back and gracious ostrich feathers, show the influence of the city/town fashion in the early twentieth century.

Ra varnaza
It is a cheerful dress with bright colours, worn in spring and summer. The silk apron with flowery patterns matches the fringed shawl draped over the white blouse, the sleeves are embroidered with precious crochet laces and ribbons in the same colours.

Ra jàida
This costume,mainly worn in winter, shows a severe elegance. It consists of a black jacket with mandarin collar and man's buttoning and a stripe-patterned apron.

A ra vecia
It is the oldest costume, dating back to the late eighteenth century. In the V-shaped neckline of the bodice, women insert the pèza da sén, an embroidered piece of stiff fabric. The white blouse has a mandarine collar; over its sleeves, half sleeves of embroidered fabric or velvet matching the apron are worn. To complement the costume a red wool jacket, camijòla, and a black top hat with ribbon hanging on the left side.
